What I Shoot With
Mobile-first. Left-handed. Built around actually using it.
The best kit is the kit you have with you. Everything here is chosen to be portable, capable, and fast to deploy — not to impress other photographers.
Nikon Z8
Essentially a Z9 without the integrated grip. Full frame, serious resolution, animal eye-AF that actually works. Left-hand dominant — custom button layout configured accordingly.
Z 24-120mm f/4 S
The walk-around lens that covers almost everything. Constant f/4 means consistent exposure across the zoom range. S-Line optics — sharp corner to corner.
3 Legged Thing Leo 2.0
Used almost exclusively in monopod mode with the DOCZ stabiliser as a base when needed. Lighter, faster, more mobile than a full tripod setup. Often just the DOCZ alone is enough.
Godox V1 Pro N
Round head gives a softer, more natural light spread. X3 Pro trigger for off-camera work with a clean touchscreen interface.
Peak Design
Left-handed carry throughout. Peak Design Slide configured for left-hand access. The Everyday Sling 6L carries everything needed for a day shoot without being a burden.
DJI Air 2 + iPhone 17 Pro Max
The right tool for the right shot. iPhone 17 Pro Max is always with me. DJI Air 2 for aerial perspective. GoPros for action and water work including kayak sessions.
